I contribute a lot on Google Maps like posting reviews and pictures of the places i have visited which includes tourist attractions, restaurants, parlours, malls etc.I suggest edits and add pins as well other than extensively using it while driving everyday.
I was delighted when i got an invite by Google Local Guides team for a day full of learning, activities, food and laughter on 8th of December. This was their fourth event in the year and first in India.
It started at 12 noon at People & Co. at Cyberhub, Gurgaon. When i reached, i was surprised to see a long queue to register and get inside. THERE WERE SO MANY LOCAL GUIDES IN DELHI?? Woo! Got to know later that there were 130 of us.

The event started with delicious appetizers, mocktails and lunch. I was pleasantly surprised to see my picture on the wall when i went to pick my lunch plate. After lunch we had an amazing session with the Google Maps technical team who gave us insights on new additions and later with Masterchef Mom who gave us tips on clicking some beautiful food pictures.

Post the session we had brainstorming session in small groups where we discussed on things which can be improved or added to Google Maps. After the discussion my favourite part of the day came when we all went for Photo Walk in Cyberhub. tWe started with fun rides and clicked pictures in Smaash, the gaming destination. I made lot of boomerangs for my insta stories. After that they took us to Chumbak, a colorful store where blogger and influencer Anupriya Kapur gave us tips on clicking pictures and all of us received colourful Passport Holders from Chumbak.

Next stop was Hard Rock Cafe where we got to click and eat some delicious appetizers and desserts along with their most selling mocktails! Foodblogger Foodattacker was there to guide us on clicking that perfect click. My favourite stop was at The Drunken Botanist where the energetic Bartenders fixed some great cocktails for us using the fresh herbs in the drinks. The Tasting Fork, blogger and influencer gave us useful tips on how to click drink pictures and how to write better reviews.

Tired after our three hours of photo walk we reached back to The people & Co. and started the evening with some drinks, appetisers, photo booth and talks.
Came home with goodies, energy and motivation of contributing more and more! A great event and so happy that i was a part of it!
