7 Places to eat in Jasola, New Delhi

I am working at Jasola District Center since more than six years now. Earlier there were very few places to eat out but now there are plenty of them. In my blog I have covered few of my favourites in Jasola.

The Kurry Leaf

The Kurry leaf specializes in home-style South Indian food which includes authentic chettinad flavours. They serve staples like idli, dosa, vada, upma and set dosa and specialties like fish curry, chettinad chicken, biryani, Malabar paratha etc.

The place has small seating area. The service is quick and food is fresh. The co-owner Ms. Sharda is always there and makes sure the food and service is always up to the mark. During lunch hours they get very busy so it’s advisable to reach on time.

I have tried many things here and love their preparation especially Set Dosa, Chettinad Chicken and home-style Sambar. The prices are quite nominal and one can have a meal quite regularly here.

Ego

Ego, the famous NFC outlet opened doors almost three years back in the Omaxe Building, Jasola. They have a wide menu, beautiful ambience, excellent bakery products and great service.

They serve Indian, continental, Italian cuisines. Post 5 pm the bakery products like cakes, pastries and breads are offered at flat 50% discount.

The prices are little steep but occasionally one can visit. We usually go here for team meetings, celebrations etc.

Chatori Royale Kitchen

This newly opened outlet is quite a rage in Jasola District Center these days. They have everything on the menu from chaat to North Indian favorites to non-vegetarian dishes. They are always packed during lunch hours. It is managed by two middle age women who make sure to take your feedback every time.

I have tried Chicken curry, Shahi Aloo, Gatta Biryani, Chole Bhature, Pao Bhaji, Kadi chawal, Kulfi, chaach, lassi, Dahi Bhalla, golgappas , chicken biryani here. Every dish is well made and everyone will have something to eat here.

The place is economical and can be visited quite often. They also give a huge discount on their dishes post 5 pm. So you can even get them packed for your dinner!

Khan Sahab

Khan Sahab is a famous street vendor near Jasola Metro Station. He makes some of the most amazing Egg Dishes. He starts at 2 pm and is there till 10 pm. You can indulge in delicious Egg Pizza, Egg Burger, Egg Kebabs and Malai Eggs which are his most famous preparations.

So if you love Eggs, you can’t miss visiting him. He claims that he can prepare more than 300 dishes with Eggs. People drive all the way from various parts of Delhi to eat at his small cart. Street Food at its best and at really low prices.

Chai Shots

Chai Shots has two locations in Jasola District Center; one in Omaxe Building and another in DLF Tower. They open early and get really busy from breakfast itself. They have various kinds of tea, shakes, maggi, rolls, pasta and sandwiches. Poha, schezwan Maggi, Kadak Chai, Mushroom Rolls, Chilli Panner and Fried rice, paneer paratha, pink sauce pasta and veg sandwich are few of my favorite dishes to order from here.

The prices are very low and wait time for delivery has increased in past few months because of popularity.

If you like authentic non vegetarian food then drive a little to the factory outlet area near shaheen bagh and pay a visit to Zooby’s Kitchen. They serve lip smacking butter chicken, mutton korma and khameeri roti. You can also get the food delivered to your office.
